Teaching Staff

Teachers are drawn from the Arbours Association and from a wide range of experts in specialised subjects.

The Arbours Association is a member of the Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Section of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

The Training Programme places emphasis upon the high-calibre of its seminar leaders from a number of external professional and training organisations , invited to teaching on their particular areas of expertise.

As well as teaching by AAP members, we are delighted to include specialist seminar leaders and supervisors from the Institute of Psychoanalysis,  Tavistock and Portman Clinics, Institute for Group Analysis, NAFSIYAT, Medical Foundation for Victims of Torture and members of organisations from within the Psychoanalytic Consortium (eg Guild, Philadelphia Association) amongst others

A Training Committee of senior practitioners, oversees and manages the programmes, trainees and curriculum to ensure it meets the needs and requirements of a contemporary training in psychoanalytic therapy.
