Narcissism in patient and therapist:  A meeting of minds?

14th April 2012
10.00am-12noon

Coffee and registration from 10am
at LSE, Clement House, Aldwych, London WC2

SPEAKER:  David Morgan

Psychoanalytic therapy is a two way process. One aspect of this is a mutual exploration of the other to discover whether a new object can be created or the ancient regime remains. The analysis of the analyst, their narcissistic defences, their reliance on their setting, theory and above all “superior knowledge” of managing life and death anxiety is part of this exploration.

David Morgan is a Psychoanalyst in private practice, Training Analyst and Supervisor, a member of the British Psychoanalytic Association, a fellow of British Psychoanalytic Society/Institute of Psychoanalysts and a Consultant Psychotherapist. He is also a member of both the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS and The British Association of Psychotherapists and has worked for 20 years in the NHS and private practice.
